Brushable Wax Resist Medium, 90ml, Zest-it, (medium pensulabil rezistent la ceara), este un produs netoxic, neinflamabil, cremos, de culoare alba si este fabricat din surse regenerabile de ceara de albine si guma Damar. Are un miros de citrice, rasinos, ceros. Wax Resist Medium poate fi aplicata cu o pensula, burete sau cu un cutit, daca este diluata cu Wax Solvent, Dip Pen sau Ruling pen. Aplicati pe suport de hartie, lemn sau o suprafata poroasa care sa fie rezistenta la ceara; zona acoperita cu ceara isi va pastra culoarea originala cand se aplica acuarela. Ceara va rezista mediilor pe baza de apa aplicate peste ea. Poate fi diluata cu Wax Solvent. Nu aruncati produsul in chiuveta. Lasati sa se usuce daca este necesar un efect de impasto sau un aspect de matase. Culorile de ulei, culorantii, pigmentul pur, sclipiciul sau altele produse similare pot fi amestecate cu Wax Resist. Mai moale decat lichidul de mascare, dar pastrand puterea de conservare, Wax Resist poate fi aplicat cu o pensula, oferindu-va un control absolut. Exista momente cand lichidul de mascare poate fi prea dur. The Zest-it® Brushable Wax Resist is non-toxic, non-flammable, creamy white in colour and made from renewable source Beeswax and Gum Damar. It has a very mild citrus, resinous, waxy smell. The Brushable Wax Resist can be applied with a brush, sponge, or shaper, if thinned with Wax Solvent, a dip pen or ruling pen. Apply to paper, wood or porous surface as a Wax Resist, the area covered with wax will retain its original colour, when watercolour is applied. The Wax will resist the water media applied over the top. Can be thinned with Wax Solvent. Do not put the product down the sink. Allow to dry if a more impasto effect is required or a ‘silk painting’ look. Oil paint, Dyes, Dry Pigment, Glitter or similar can be added to the Wax Resist for colour and different effects.
Softer than masking fluid but still with the power to preserve, this thinnable wax resist can be used with a brush, giving you absolute control. There are times when masking fluid may be too harsh. A wax crayon may not be accurate enough so the Brushable Wax Resist can be thinned to the consistency you require and applied with a brush. It also makes for an interesting experimental medium. Do not use heat as this can cause the beeswax to give off fumes that can be irritating to the eyes and nose. It will also cause the wax to soak into the surface and become less functional. It is best allowed to dry then 'buffed' with a soft cloth giving subtle contrast to the watercolour surface.
